Alienation: Upside-Down Portraits Make People Look Like Aliens by Anelia Loubser

Behance | Facebook

This latest photo series by Anelia Loubser, a photographer in Cape Town, reminds us that even the simplest change in perspective can change how things look drastically. By selectively cropping and flipping the dark portraits in her “Alienation” series, Loubser makes basic human portraits look like creepy alien close-ups.

‘Alienation’ is a collection of portraits that challenges the viewer by using creative tactics based on the concept, ‘If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change’ – Wayne Dyer,” Loubser explains. To see more of her work, as well as the “before” photos she took for this series, visit her Behance profile.

The Problem With Facebook

Interesting video about facebook page promotions. As someone who has over 6k likes on facebook I will admit my average read count has been 7 for the past 4 months. I didn’t really think much of it until I watched this video.

Have the Homeless Become Invisible?

All of my life I have had a spot in my heart for the homeless. When I was little my parents used to take me to shelters to help out with downtown missions and I was very fond of doing so. As I grew older I decided to go to México to do some long distance missions work while building houses. In our day and age we are constantly questioning the visibility of different types of people, whether it be things like sexuality, race, etc. It’s interesting that this video was made in reference to the visibility of homelessness. It’s a good watch and may even get you to think a bit about: Would you recognize your own family on the street?

Hey Bloggers,

This is my version of “Taylor the (gay) Latte Boy” lyrics by Kory Desoto.

Either way, I’ve been wanting to perform this song since Kristin Chenoweth had sung it. So, I decided I would do it for this fundraiser using Partially Kory’s Lyrics and partially Kristin’s.

I hope you enjoy this dress rehearsal. The concert version will be uploaded in a few days!

Ciao for now bloggers.
